The Razor’s Edge
Shot in black and white, this 1946 film rode the same wave as the wildly-successful 1944 book by the same name. With Tyrone Power in the lead, the film’s storyline and dialog are tightly crafted and, at times, gut wrenching. This a classic film about life, about what it is, and about what’s most important about it.
Although it has been described by a few critics as “pretentious,” we view it as deep and meaningful. It’s rare to find this kind of depth mixed with good entertainment.
