Life Savor celebrates being alive.
Life is precious, but we often don’t think of it that way.
We take life for granted because it has always been with us and we have never known a time without it.
In reality, life—especially human life—is the most rare and precious of privileges.
We humans exist daily in a miracle. At least occasionally, we should walk around in a daze of wonder, unable to believe our eyes at having woken up in such a beautiful universe. At least occasionally, we should remember how fundamentally lucky we are to be here at all.
Life Savor exists to help us remember.
Life Savor’s gospel is: You are alive—so savor it while you can. Life Savor preaches that heaven is a place on earth and that we should rejoice in our lives while we still have the chance.
Life Savor is a health spa for the soul — a recuperation station for pondering life and for remembering how much is okay because we’re alive.
Life Savor isn’t based on fantasy, it doesn’t require us to hijack our mind or unquestioningly follow an authority (mystical or otherwise), and it doesn’t require the universe to operate according to our wishes. Life Savor is just a perspective—a specific and optional perspective that helps us to recognize and appreciate our most fundamental gift of life. Life Savor helps re-enchant us with life by reminding us of its preciousness, its beauty and its potential for glorious experience.
The philosophy of Life Savor is captured in the book Life Savor: Treasuring Our Gift of Life by Erik Victor Reed. The website, Life-Savor.com, is a tangible expression of the book—an oasis of inspiring thoughts, feelings, perspectives and soulful pleasures aimed at renewing our spirits.
Sometimes Life Savor is philosophy, sometimes it’s psychology and sometimes it’s tweets, Instagrams or listicles (beautiful pictures, experiences, poetry, quotes and more). Life Savor showcases inspiring images, videos, music, bucket lists and sundry other soulful treats. Life Savor also offers a thought-provoking blog, vlog and podcast, as well as a store with links to our favorite products, books, posters and more.
We sincerely hope you enjoy the Life Savor experience.
